Germantown Cricket Club, Philadelphia, PA
Awarded 2013 USTA Facility of the Year Award

The Germantown Cricket Club, a unique and historic country club, has been providing opportunities for Philadelphia area residents to play the sport of tennis on a variety of surfaces for 160 years. The club allows members to choose from grass courts, natural red clay courts, Har-Tru® courts, and hard courts. Sport Builders completed a million dollar renovation of the clay court facility which included the construction of nine Hydrocourts, six natural red clay courts, two 10 & Under QuickStart courts and an all-weather hard court. The project included adding a state-of-the-art irrigation system as well as design and construction of a brand new hard court and QuickStart courts. Finishing touches included a new fencing system, multiple court amenities, and a beautiful paver walkway. After the renovation, the Germantown Cricket Club was named a USTA Facility of the Year for 2013 from the United States Tennis Association.

Sea Colony, Bethany Beach, DE
Awarded 2012 USTA Facility of the Year Award

Sport Builders is the official court contractor of Sea Colony, a premier tennis and beach resort community located in Bethany Beach, Delaware, with 34 tennis courts. Since 2003, Sport Builders has been performing tennis court construction, renovation and resurfacing procedures on the indoor and outdoor hard courts and outdoor Har-Tru® courts. Sea Colony features 14 outdoor Har Tru courts, six indoor hard courts and 14 outdoor hard courts. Sea Colony was awarded the Facility of the Year award from the USTA in 2012. Recently, Sport Builders just completed construction of two new indoor hard courts, expanding Sea Colony's existing facility.

Sport Builders Named Official Tennis Court
Construction Company of USTA Middle States

USTA Middle States (USTA MS), encompassing Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and northwestern West Virginia, has designated Sport Builders as the official court contrtactor of the Middle States region for 2010. USTA MS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the game of tennis to everyone who wants to play in the Middle States region.

Sport Builders Featured in Reading Eagle
and Albright Alumni Publication

Sport Builders was profiled in the Business section of the Reading Eagle. Albright College also featured Sport Builders and Matt Jacobs, president, in an article in the Albright College Alumni magazine. Matt is a graduate of Albright College and was the number one player and team captain for the tennis team during his college years.

Sport Builders Creates Unique Multi-Colored Courts
for World Team Tennis League

Sport Builders created the unique multi-colored tennis court surface for the Philadelphia Freedoms and Delaware Smash of the World Team Tennis Pro League during the 2006 season. The design for the courts was originally created by Billie Jean King in the 1970s when the league was formed. The WTT decided to use that design for the 2006 season. The Philadelphia Freedoms play at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA and the Delaware Smash play at Astra Zeneca in Wilmington, DE. Matt Jacobs and Sport Builders was also responsible for construction of the "parking lot" tennis court at the King of Prussia Mall.
