In addition to tennis courts, Sport Builders also builds and repairs basketball courts. A backyard basketball court is an attractive addition to any home and gives kids a safe place to play. As with our tennis court work, we can provide construction of new courts or resurfacing of existing courts.  The basketball surface we typically install is the same as all-weather (hard court) tennis courts — an asphalt court base with an acrylic coating system that serves as the playing surface. We have also installed basketball systems many times on existing black top surfaces, extra parking lot space, and driveways, as well as old tennis courts, giving our clients the option of using the court for multiple sports.

At Sport Builders, we construct basketball courts using the same methodology and care as all-weather hard tennis courts. A standard full size basketball court measures 50’ x100’, but when space is limited, basketball courts can be modified in size to meet space constraints. Over the past couple of years, we have also transformed older tennis courts into full court basketball courts and multi-sport courts with relative ease.  We feature turn-key installation, so all our work is performed by our staff. This controls scheduling, costs and most importantly construction quality.  The process begins with basic excavation, the construction of a stone base, followed by the installation a multi-layer asphalt system.  The court is surfaced for play with an Acrylic Coating System that features exciting 3-tone color schemes that are original to every court. Our team can also hand paint team logos on any court. State-of-the-art, fully-adjustable basketball systems such as Goalrilla are also installed and we can even install lighting for night play.
